The QGIS project has released version 3.38 with enhanced temporal controller capabilities, drawing immediate interest from UK drainage and flood risk consultancies. Mott MacDonald and Jacobs Engineering have both confirmed pilot deployments, using the new tools to animate historic flood event data alongside current Environment Agency modelling layers. The release also improves integration with PostGIS 3.4 for large-scale spatial datasets.
