The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government has awarded £2.1 million to the Open Digital Planning project to extend its open source planning software stack to twelve additional local planning authorities in levelling up priority areas. The funding will expand deployment of the RIPA and BOPS applications, which handle permitted development applications and back-office processing. Buckinghamshire and Rotherham councils are among the newly confirmed participants.
