A survey by the Architectural Computing Forum has found that PostGIS usage among UK architecture practices with more than 50 staff has grown by 34% year-on-year, driven by demand for spatial analysis in large mixed-use and regeneration projects. Practices including Allies and Morrison and Arup's urban design team cited PostGIS as central to site assessment workflows. The trend reflects a broader shift away from ESRI ArcGIS in the built environment sector.
