Linux Foundation Launches Open Infrastructure Blueprint for Smart City Deployments

The Linux Foundation has published a new open reference architecture aimed at municipalities deploying smart city infrastructure, incorporating OpenTelemetry, Apache Kafka, and Eclipse Ditto for IoT device management. Transport for West Midlands has been named as a founding pilot authority, with plans to use the stack to unify traffic sensor and air quality monitoring data streams. The blueprint documentation is freely available under a Creative Commons licence.
