Balfour Beatty has deployed OpenProject, the open source project management platform, across its UK infrastructure division to manage scheduling and resource allocation on National Highways framework contracts. The decision follows a competitive evaluation against Microsoft Project and Primavera P6. An on-premises deployment was chosen to satisfy data residency requirements, with customisation handled by German OpenProject GmbH.
