The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government has confirmed £3 million in additional funding for the Planning Data platform, built on open source components including PostgreSQL and Django. The platform, maintained by DLUHC's Digital Planning team, aggregates land use and development data from over 300 local planning authorities. The investment will fund API improvements and expanded dataset coverage through 2026.
