The BlenderBIM Add-on, developed by the OSArch community, has achieved buildingSMART IFC4.3 compliance certification, making it one of only a handful of open source tools to reach this standard. The milestone is expected to ease adoption among UK architects and engineers working on infrastructure projects subject to the UK BIM Framework mandate. Arup and BDP have both confirmed evaluation pilots are underway.
