Lichfield District Council has gone live with OpenProject, the open source project management platform, to oversee its five-year capital programme worth approximately £42 million. The deployment, handled by UK integrator Collabora, replaces a legacy Microsoft Project Server installation. The council cited lower licensing costs and improved transparency for elected members as the primary drivers behind the switch.
