The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government has confirmed additional funding for the Planning Data platform, which underpins the open source data pipeline developed with Jadu and open standards advocates at the Open Digital Planning project. The platform, built on Python and PostgreSQL, aggregates planning constraint and designation data from over 300 local planning authorities. The expansion aims to support the forthcoming digital planning reforms outlined in the Planning and Infrastructure Bill.
