Norfolk County Council has gone live with a self-hosted Nextcloud deployment to replace Microsoft SharePoint for document collaboration across its adult social care directorate, covering approximately 2,400 staff. The implementation, delivered by UK open source integrator Collabora Productivity, also includes OnlyOffice for in-browser document editing. The council cited cost reduction and improved data residency compliance under UK GDPR as the primary drivers for the move.
