Homes England has awarded a three-year document collaboration contract to Nextcloud GmbH, deploying the open source platform on UK sovereign cloud infrastructure provided by UKCloud successor Memset. The deal covers secure file sharing and collaborative editing for approximately 1,200 staff working on housing delivery programmes. Homes England cited data residency requirements and total cost of ownership as primary drivers over Microsoft 365.
