BlenderBIM, the open source IFC-native BIM authoring tool built on Blender, is seeing growing adoption among mid-sized UK contractors as an alternative to Autodesk Revit. Firms including Galliford Try's specialist fit-out division and Robertson Construction have begun piloting the tool for detailing and clash detection workflows. The OSArch community, which stewards BlenderBIM development, recorded a 40 percent increase in UK-registered forum members over the past twelve months.
