Nottinghamshire County Council has selected Nextcloud Hub as the foundation for its internal document collaboration and file sharing infrastructure, replacing a Microsoft SharePoint Online deployment as part of a broader digital sovereignty initiative. The council cited data residency requirements and long-term cost predictability as key factors in the decision. Deployment is being managed by local government IT shared service partner EMSS, with full rollout planned for early 2026.
