Lichfield District Council has completed a phased migration from its legacy Capita finance platform to the open source ERPNext system, becoming one of the first tier-two English councils to do so at full production scale. The project, delivered in partnership with Birmingham-based integrator Havaric, took fourteen months and is projected to save the authority approximately £180,000 annually in licensing costs. Council officers report that the open API architecture has simplified integration with the existing Agresso HR module.
