Bristol City Council has completed a phased migration of its development management workflows from a proprietary Idox platform to an open source stack built on PostgreSQL, PostGIS, and a custom Django front-end. The project, delivered in partnership with Informed Solutions, is expected to save the council approximately £340,000 over five years. The codebase has been published on GitHub under an MIT licence for reuse by other authorities.
