OpenStreetMap Foundation Launches UK Infrastructure Mapping Initiative with Highways England

/

The OpenStreetMap Foundation has announced a formal data-sharing agreement with National Highways to improve the accuracy of motorway and A-road data across England. The initiative will see National Highways contributing verified geometry updates directly to the OSM database via a dedicated bulk import pipeline. OSM UK community volunteers will validate contributions through a new review board established for the programme.
