Bristol City Council has gone live with an open source planning register built on the DLUHC-backed open-planning-software stack, making planning application data publicly accessible via a standardised API. The implementation uses PostgreSQL and Django, and source code has been published on GitHub under an MIT licence. Bristol joins Lambeth and Southwark as early adopters of the government-backed open planning data initiative.
