Midlands-based contractor Stepnell has gone live with a customised deployment of Apache OFBiz as its core ERP system, replacing a legacy SAP Business One installation. The implementation, carried out by Derby-based integrator Liberata Technology, covers finance, procurement, and subcontractor management modules. Stepnell's IT director stated the move reduced annual software licensing expenditure by over 40 percent while giving the firm full control over system customisation.
