The QGIS project has released version 3.38, introducing significantly improved 3D terrain visualisation and point cloud processing capabilities aimed at urban planning and infrastructure workflows. The update includes tighter integration with OpenStreetMap-based basemaps and improved support for OS MasterMap data ingestion. Several UK local authorities, including Leeds City Council and Bristol City Council, have been cited in the release notes as contributors to the testing programme.
