QGIS 3.38 Released With Enhanced 3D Mapping Tools for Urban Planners

The QGIS project has released version 3.38, introducing significantly improved 3D city model visualisation and point cloud processing capabilities aimed at urban planning workflows. The update includes native support for CityGML datasets and tighter integration with OpenStreetMap data pipelines. Several UK local authorities, including Leeds City Council and Bristol City Council, have already begun piloting the release within their spatial planning teams.
