The OpenStreetMap Foundation has announced funding support for a collaborative project with Ordnance Survey and several UK local authorities to improve utility and transport infrastructure data quality across England. The initiative will use OSM's open data model alongside the OpenInfraMap renderer to help councils validate asset registers. Participating authorities include Leeds, Sheffield, and Newcastle City Councils.
