OpenStreetMap data powers new digital planning layer in West Yorkshire

/

West Yorkshire Combined Authority has announced a new spatial planning dashboard built on OpenStreetMap and the open source PostGIS database, developed in partnership with Arup and the Open Data Institute. The tool allows planners across Bradford, Leeds, and Calderdale to overlay housing supply, transport corridors, and flood risk data without proprietary licensing costs. The authority says the platform will be published under an MIT licence for other mayoral combined authorities to reuse.
