Open Source Flood Risk Tool GeoServer Deployed Across Seven County Councils

A consortium of seven English county councils, coordinated by the Local Government Association, has deployed a shared GeoServer instance to publish and exchange flood risk and surface water drainage data under a common infrastructure. The initiative replaces seven separate proprietary WebGIS deployments and is aligned with the Environment Agency's National Flood Risk Assessment 2 dataset. Nottinghamshire County Council is leading the technical workstream.
