Nottingham City Council's wholly owned property management company, Nottingham City Homes, has selected Odoo 17 Community Edition as the foundation for a new finance and procurement system following the collapse of its previous vendor contract. Implementation partner Serpent Consulting Services will configure modules covering accounts payable, housing maintenance job costing, and supplier management. The choice of open source ERP was driven partly by the council's need to reduce dependency on single-vendor proprietary platforms following scrutiny from external auditors.
