Hampshire County Council has disclosed that its two-year-old Nextcloud Hub deployment, replacing SharePoint and OneDrive for internal document collaboration, has delivered cumulative savings of £1.2 million in Microsoft licensing fees. The council worked with Collabora Online to provide browser-based document editing compatible with ODF and OOXML formats. The IT team has open-sourced its Ansible deployment playbooks on GitHub for use by other local authorities.
