Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, and Westminster City Council have jointly deployed Nextcloud Hub 7 as part of a shared digital workspace initiative aimed at reducing dependence on Microsoft 365. The tri-borough arrangement, managed through their existing shared services structure, covers document collaboration, calendar and secure file exchange for approximately 8,000 staff. The councils cited data sovereignty concerns and escalating Microsoft licensing costs as primary drivers for the switch.
