The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government has released the source code for its Planning Data Validator tool on GitHub, built using the open source Frictionless Data framework. The tool helps local planning authorities check the conformance of datasets submitted to the national planning.data.gov.uk platform. Barnet, Suffolk Coastal, and Medway councils are named as early adopters in the accompanying technical documentation.
