Lichfield District Council has completed a migration from Microsoft Project to the open source platform OpenProject, covering capital works programmes across its housing and highways departments. The move is expected to save the council approximately £40,000 annually in licensing costs. ICT lead officers cited vendor independence and alignment with the Local Digital Declaration as key drivers behind the decision.
