Kirklees Metropolitan Council is piloting an open source community services directory built on Nextcloud and the OpenReferralUK data standard, replacing a legacy proprietary system from Idox. The project, developed in collaboration with Dxw, aims to improve resident access to local support services while reducing vendor lock-in. If successful, the council intends to publish the codebase under an MIT licence for reuse by other local authorities.
