Homes England has begun a six-month pilot of OpenProject, the open source project management platform, to coordinate its Brownfield Land Release Fund programmes across 47 local authorities. The agency cited frustrations with Microsoft Project licensing costs and the lack of cross-authority collaboration features as key drivers for the switch. OpenProject's REST API is being used to integrate with Homes England's existing Salesforce CRM and PowerBI dashboards.
