Wolverhampton City Council is running a 12-month pilot of ERPNext as a replacement for modules within its ageing Agresso financial management system, in what is believed to be one of the first formal ERPNext trials within a UK tier-one local authority. The pilot covers purchase-to-pay and budget monitoring functions across three service directorates. Results are due to be reported to the council's Digital Transformation Board in early 2026.
