/

Buckinghamshire Council has completed a phased migration of its planning back-office mapping infrastructure away from Esri ArcGIS to an open stack built on QGIS, PostGIS, and OpenStreetMap data. The move is projected to save approximately £180,000 annually in licensing costs. The council worked with consultancy Astun Technology to deliver the transition, with full rollout completed ahead of the 2025 Q1 deadline.
