Bristol City Council has completed a migration of its public-facing planning portal to an open source technology stack built on PostgreSQL and a React front end, replacing a legacy proprietary system supplied by Idox. The council worked with local digital agency Deetu to deliver the project under the Open Digital Planning programme. The new system is expected to cut annual software costs by approximately £120,000.
