Blender Gains Traction in UK Architecture Practices as Visualisation Costs Rise

/

A growing number of mid-sized UK architecture practices, including Stride Treglown and HawkinsBrown, are piloting Blender for architectural visualisation and concept modelling as subscription costs for established tools such as Enscape and Lumion continue to climb. The open source 3D platform's Cycles renderer and expanding BIM-linked workflows via the BlenderBIM add-on are cited as key drivers. The Architects' Journal reports adoption has roughly doubled among practices surveyed in the past 18 months.
