Blender Gains Traction Among UK Architects as BIM Visualisation Complement

A growing number of UK architectural practices, including Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios and Haworth Tompkins, are integrating Blender into their BIM workflows to handle high-quality rendering and client presentation work previously outsourced to specialist visualisation firms. The open source 3D suite is being used alongside Autodesk Revit and IFC-native tools via the BlenderBIM Add-on. Practitioners cite cost savings and improved creative control as primary drivers of adoption.
