BlenderBIM, the open source IFC-native BIM authoring tool built on Blender, is seeing rapid adoption among small and medium-sized UK architectural practices seeking alternatives to Autodesk Revit following recent subscription price increases. The Open Source Architecture community reports a 40 percent rise in UK-based contributors over the past twelve months. Several practices, including Edinburgh-based Collective Architecture, have publicly committed to full BIM Level 2 delivery using the open source toolchain.
