Homes England has begun a six-month pilot of OpenProject, the open source project management platform, to coordinate delivery across its Affordable Homes Programme portfolio. The agency is replacing a legacy Microsoft Project Server environment, citing high licensing costs and poor cross-organisation collaboration features. The pilot involves around 200 users across delivery and investment teams, with a decision on full rollout expected in Q3 2025.
