MHCLG Pilots Open Source Planning Data Validator Across Twenty Councils

/

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government has expanded its pilot of the open source planning data validation service, built on Python and Apache Airflow, to twenty local planning authorities across England including Leeds City Council, Medway Council, and Cornwall Council. The tool automatically checks submitted datasets against the national planning data schema and flags non-conformant entries before they reach the Planning Data Platform. MHCLG has published the full codebase under an MIT licence on its GitHub organisation.
