The OSGeo project has released QGIS 3.38, introducing improved coordinate reference system handling with native support for Ordnance Survey National Grid transformations. Several UK local authorities, including Leeds City Council and Gloucestershire County Council, have already confirmed migration plans from Esri ArcGIS desktop licences. The update also includes performance improvements to the WFS provider used widely in public sector spatial data pipelines.
