Buckinghamshire Council has completed a phased migration of its development management system to an open source stack built around PostgreSQL and the ODP (Open Digital Planning) software developed under the DLUHC-backed PropTech Innovation Fund. The move is expected to save the authority an estimated £180,000 annually in licensing fees. The council has contributed its configuration and deployment scripts back to the Open Digital Planning GitHub repository for reuse by other authorities.
