OpenStreetMap Foundation Partners with Network Rail on Infrastructure Asset Mapping

The OpenStreetMap Foundation has announced a formal data-sharing partnership with Network Rail to improve the accuracy of railway infrastructure mapping across Great Britain. Under the agreement, Network Rail will contribute verified station and track geometry data to the OSM dataset, while the Foundation provides tooling support via JOSM and Overpass API. The deal is seen as a model for public asset data contributing to open geographic commons.
