NHS Property Services has completed deployment of OpenNMS Horizon across its managed estates portfolio, covering network and building management system monitoring at approximately 2,400 healthcare sites in England. The rollout replaces a SolarWinds-based solution following cost reviews and residual security concerns stemming from the 2020 Sunburst incident. The open source platform is managed by an internal team of six engineers based in Leeds, with configuration maintained as code in a self-hosted Gitea repository.
