Surrey County Council has launched a refreshed open data portal built on GeoServer and GeoNode, making spatial datasets covering transport, land use, and flood risk freely accessible to developers and residents. The council's GIS team worked with open source consultancy Astun Technology to configure the stack, replacing a commercial ESRI-hosted solution. The portal went live in May 2025 and already hosts over 140 published datasets.
