DLUHC Pilots Open Source Planning Data Platform Across Five Pathfinder Councils

/

The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities has launched a pilot of its open source planning data platform, built on the GOV.UK RRAP stack with PostgreSQL and PostGIS backends, across five pathfinder local planning authorities including Buckinghamshire and South Cambridgeshire. The platform, developed by MHCLG's Digital Planning programme, aims to standardise how councils publish planning constraints and heritage data. Results from the pilot are expected to inform a wider national rollout in 2025.
