QGIS 3.36 Adopted by Bristol City Council for Spatial Planning Workflows

/

Bristol City Council has completed a full migration from Esri ArcGIS Desktop to QGIS 3.36 across its spatial planning and development management teams, citing annual licensing savings of approximately £140,000. The council worked with Lutra Consulting to develop custom plugins supporting local plan evidence base mapping. The move follows similar transitions at East Riding of Yorkshire and Oxfordshire County Council.
