Greater Manchester Combined Authority has deployed Apache Superset as its primary business intelligence tool for monitoring capital infrastructure projects across the region, replacing a Power BI environment that had accumulated significant per-seat licensing costs. The platform is now used by transport, housing, and planning directorates to visualise spend and delivery data from the Greater Manchester Spatial Framework. The GMCA data team published its configuration as an open source repository on GitHub to support other mayoral authorities.
