Nottingham City Council has completed a phased migration to ERPNext for its core finance and procurement functions, following the authority's well-documented financial difficulties and a Section 114 notice. The open source ERP system was implemented by UK partner Frappe UK, with total project costs reported at £1.2 million — significantly below comparable proprietary alternatives. The council has shared its implementation documentation with the Local Government Association.
