The OpenStreetMap Foundation has confirmed that contributions from UK-based mappers have crossed 10 million cumulative edits, driven largely by a surge in transport infrastructure tagging following National Highways data releases. OSM UK's volunteer community has been systematically integrating publicly licensed road and cycle network data throughout 2024. The milestone was marked at the annual State of the Map UK conference held in Leeds last month.
