The OpenBIM Alliance has published a new IFC file validation tool under the Apache 2.0 licence, designed to help architecture and engineering firms verify compliance with ISO 19650 BIM standards without relying on proprietary software. The tool, built on the IfcOpenShell library, has been piloted by Buro Happold and Ramboll during their work on RIBA-stage projects in the UK. It is available via GitHub and is already being integrated into several CI/CD pipelines used by mid-size UK contractors.
