Ordnance Survey has announced a formal data-sharing agreement with the OpenStreetMap Foundation, releasing a curated subset of its OS Open Roads dataset under a compatible open licence. The contribution, described as the largest single structured addition to OSM's UK coverage in five years, is intended to improve routing accuracy for emergency services applications.
